此次重新整合的m.youtube.com由自07年舊版所修改整合而成，支援所有流行的手機平台，包括iPhone的iOS及Google的Android。今次新版的改進莫過於全面使用HTML 5制式，絕對是iPhone用戶的天大喜訊。由於iPhone不支援Flash，過去要看YouTube短片根本上都要使用隨機安裝的「Apple 官方」YouTube App，不單麻煩而且運行緩慢，影像質素差。
不過據YouTube官方網站表示，新Mobile版網站將大幅度提升運作速度，筆者測試後亦發現影像質素有相當的提升，而且播片過程亦非常流暢，明顯與「Apple 官方App」有分別，而更重要的是新網在用戶介面上亦有改進，例如現在大家已可以直接在影片下選擇「like」或「unlike」，而整個User Interface亦與電腦版更加接近，方便用戶適應。
iPhone用戶只要輸入YouTube.com便可以直接登入新流動網站版面，喜歡的朋友更可立即將之安裝為Web App，並把它替代那個功能殘缺的 「Apple 官方App」。
